The Program Coordinator will be responsible for executing our rigorous and transformative teacher training programs while building excellent relationships with teachers and our global network of clients and stakeholders.

Who We Are: SIY Global’s Teacher Training and Development Team’s mission is to train and develop employees to become exceptional, embodied teachers of social and emotional intelligence programs. Our rigorous teacher training program facilitates individual transformation while training world-class teachers to deliver and scale emotional intelligence programs inside their organizations.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the program management of our ongoing teacher training and development programs. After learning the ins-and-outs of our teacher training program and processes, you will lead designing a streamlined program management process on our new learning management system, a critical responsibility to increasing our scale and impact.

Implement 6-month teacher training programs – 50%

    • Make admissions decisions about teacher training program applicants. Process includes using Jotform, Salesforce, Absorb, Hubspot, and Google Sheets
    • Manage communication with applicants and participants (ranging from 30 to 60 people) throughout the duration of their teacher training
    • Determine and manage program support team including teachers, reviewers, mentors, and coaches and communicate key program milestones
    • Interpret and respond to applicant and participant inquiries in a timely manner while embodying our organizational mission and values
    • Implement full suite of dynamic and extensive program materials using Google Classroom and Google Suite
    • Determine program milestones and communicate next steps with participants using Google Classroom and Google Suite
    • Determine best approach for three virtual (Zoom) program sessions and execute accordingly 
    • Make recommendations to our Client Engagement Team regarding participant’s readiness to teach, including observed strengths and suggested opportunities for growth 

 

Build Out New Program Management Process – 30%

    • Determine opportunities for program optimization and partner with Head of Teacher Development to build new program management system
    • Recommend efficiencies to the program management process including streamlined technology and communication platforms
    • Implement the new system and track outcomes

 

Implement Teacher Development Programs – 20%

    • Recommend and build out a suite and schedule of programs to support ongoing development and embodiment of teachers
    • Develop and implement programs through multiple technology platforms including Eventbrite, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Salesforce
    • Determine best approach for virtual (Zoom) and in-person teacher development programs and execute accordingly 
    • Manage communication and ongoing relationships with certified teachers

 

Position Outcomes

The Program Coordinator position will have a direct impact on the seamless implementation and success of our teacher training and development programs. Outcomes include:  

    • Streamlined program management process built on our new learning management system
    • Strong, positive feedback from participants about their program experience as determined through ongoing program surveys
    • Sustainable relationships built with teachers in training that equip them for success in their journeys as teachers
    • Successful implementation of new systems, technologies, and strategies to improve participant experience and program management efficiency for all stakeholders

 

Qualifications

Experience:

    • 2+ years of program coordination/operations experience
    • Comfortable working across integrated technology platforms including Google Apps, Salesforce, Hubspot, Absorb, Asana, and a willingness to quickly learn new technologies and tools. Experience in these specific tools is a plus; however, more important than the experience is the ability to learn new business technologies quickly and independently
    • Managed multiple projects, programs, or events simultaneously 
    • Experience imagining or implementing new systems is a bonus 

 

Knowledge & Skills:

    • Tech savvy – familiar with systems stack, able to work across platforms, and able to learn new platforms and technologies easily                                                           
    • System thinker – thinks in systems and processes; comfortable making improvements to existing systems and able to build new systems
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized – able to track multiple details and competing priorities; i.e. six-month training programs of 50 participants
    • Natural relationship builder – able to build and maintain relationships across stakeholders, including participants, teaching teams, and clients
    • Adaptable & agile – is able to adapt to changes quickly and is excited about working in a dynamic environment where agile ways of working are required
    • Business savviness and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of transforming workplace culture
    • Commitment to optimizing participant experience

Physical Demands

This is largely a stationary role, with most responsibilities performed through a computer. This role requires: 

    • Regular oral communication with participants, teachers, and coworkers, both in-person and through video calls 
    • Remaining stationary, on camera, and at a computer for multiple hours a day
    • Reading and responding to email and other written communication
    • No heavy lifting is expected, although occasional exertion to organize and manage supplies related to events (binders, books, etc) may be required

Job Classification: Full time, exempt

Anticipated start date: February 2023

Location: At this time, we are seeking U.S. based candidates. Our organization is headquartered in San Francisco, California, but coming into the office is optional and we welcome remote employees! Employees are expected to work at least a 5-hour overlap with standard Pacific Time Zone business hours.

Salary and benefits: SIY Global offers a competitive salary and benefits package (including: flexible vacation policy; 100% employer paid healthcare premiums; dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k); FSA) and is currently piloting a 4-day work week. The starting annualized full-time salary for this role is: $67,000-$75,000. Specific salary dependent on experience level.
