build transferable facilitation skills
This is more than a train-the-trainer program. It's a personal and professional development journey that builds both inner capacity and outer facilitation skill. You’ll build capabilities across five domains:
- Track and respond to group emotional energy in real time.
- Facilitate inquiry-based dialogue using powerful questions and synthesized themes.
- Navigate discomfort and foster psychological safety in high-stakes moments.
- Adapt facilitation style responsively to group needs.
- Model emotional awareness, management, and constructive empathy during facilitation.
- Offer and receive open-hand feedback with skill and generosity.
- Recognize and shift out of unhelpful facilitator roles (e.g., expert, fixer, pleaser).
- Demonstrate how emotional intelligence links to organizational outcomes.
- Use real-world business examples to reinforce learning relevance.
- Frame exercises and stories in ways that connect directly to day-to-day work challenges.
- Manage pacing and time to support learning and engagement.
- Use narrative arcs to create a cohesive participant journey.
- Moderate energy, tone, and delivery style for optimal learning.
- Tailor language, stories, and examples to reflect diverse cultural and business contexts.
- Clarify your personal “why” for becoming a facilitator.
- Explore your Perception BoxTM and how it impacts your style.
- Reflect on personal growth, learning edges, and long-term facilitator development.

frequently asked questions
Here are a few of the most common questions we get about our facilitator certification program. Don't see your question answered here? Contact us here.
How much does it cost?
Can I get this certification if my organization does not offer it internally?
What programs am I certified to teach after completion?
You may teach any SIY Global program, including our full 2-day Search Inside Yourself program. You can find the full list of programs here.
What’s the difference between the Facilitator Certification Program (FCP) and the SIY Teacher Training?
Both certifications enable you to facilitate any SIY Global program.
SIY Teacher Training is a more intensive program that offers a deep dive into the content of the full Search Inside Yourself Program over a few months.
Because SIY Teacher Training focuses entirely on the content of the SIY course, facilitators who want to facilitate other programs should expect to spend additional time preparing for delivery.
FCP is an accelerated program that develops a broader facilitation skill set, with a unique focus on connecting emotional intelligence to the business context. FCP is also designed for smaller groups (up to 6), which supports connection and accelerated development.
Organizations can choose the content they want their facilitators to focus on during FCP from any program in SIY Global’s catalog.
Do I need facilitator certification if I’m already a certified teacher of the Search Inside Yourself program?
Anyone who works within an organization that is a customer of SIY Global and is a certified SIY teacher may teach any of SIY Global’s programs.
Some SIY teachers are choosing to participate in the full facilitator certification program (FCP) as this program puts more emphasis on emotional-intelligence based facilitation skills, rather than the deeper dive into the content.
This upskilling is especially useful if it has been a while since you have been certified or if your organization is already running a cohort to connect you with other facilitators.
Independent consultants who are certified as an SIY Global Certified Teacher (GCT) may only deliver the full SIY program. For questions, contact us on the form below.
Are you still offering SIY Teacher Training?
Yes, we are still offering SIY Teacher Training within client organizations. However, we are not offering any public programs at this time.
